me

Perhaps someday I will tell you more about me in this space. For now, you just have to learn it by reading my freakin' diary. Now get to it!

Another Sign of the Apocalypse

Saturday, Jul. 23, 2005|12:35 a.m.

After reading the title, you may be thinking that me writing two entries in one day is a sign of the apocalypse. Well, it's not - so fuck off. (of course, I mean that in the nicest possible way... Fuck off - and I hope you have an orgasm or two while you are at it.)

What I am referring to is this: Tony Orlando and Dawn - DVD Announcement, Cover Art, Fun Extras!

Fun Extras? Like what?

Relive the hilarious comedy sketches when Telma and Joyce cut loose as "Lou Effy and Moreen" The wacky 'Lou Effy and Moreen' skits? If I use the 'Smuckers' school of thought, with a name like 'Lou Effy and Moreen' it's got to be good! I am sure these skits will go into the comedy hall of fame - right next to the classic Abbott and Costello "Who's on First?" routine.

Watch as Tony lives out his fantasies of being a Kung Fu master, a Glam Rocker, Sinatra, Elvis and others. Golly, Tony as a kung fu master or a glam rocker has to be funny! I am laughing already! Ha ha ha!

Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent in a segment from the show Fridays with Don Novello as "Father Guido Sarducci & Dawn" As timely as it is comedic!

...one entire show with the gang from Hee Haw! Jesus, I can't even fake enthusiasm for this anymore...

Is it really necessary to release every single show ever produced on DVD? This show was popular in the 70's - a time when casual drug use was very common. Now that most of society isn't high, there can't be many people who will find this entertaining.

Really, what's next, The Captain and Tennille Show on DVD?

R2 is also planning on an announcement in upcoming weeks for the equally anticipated Captain & Tennille variety program, plus they have a few other surprises up their sleeves. I don't even want to think about what these surprises may be.

It makes me want to do this to the people at R2.
