Perhaps someday I will tell you more about me in this space. For now, you just have to learn it by reading my freakin' diary. Now get to it!

So I Was Watching The News...

2004-12-28|12:08 a.m.

I was watching the 11:00 news a little bit earlier, and the news lady (yes, below her name it says 'news lady,' not 'Anchor') was bitching about the bad weather Cincinnati has had recently with the station's weather guy (Get over it - they don't believe in fancy terms like meteorologist either.)

FYI - we had about 20 inches of snow over 24 hours late last week...

This about five minutes after she finished talking about the earthquake/tsunami that happened off the coast of Indonesia on Monday.

I hear tomorrow she plans on complaining about her lousy Christmas dinner just a few minutes after she talks about starvation in third world countries. What a douche bag.

While checking out the news on Yahoo, I found this story...

Doctor Mistakenly Amputates Wrong Foot

It turns out that a doctor at a public hospital in southern Mexico mistakenly amputated the right leg of an elderly patient who had sought treatment for an infection in his left foot.

It's stories like this that scare the hell out of me. It makes me wonder what would happen if I would end up breaking a bone while I am over in the Philippines.

I can see waking up with a vasectomy, but no cast on my leg.

When I inform the doctor of his mistake, I can see the doctor laughing as he slaps his head and says something wacky like, "Whoops, my bad!" while you hear a trumpet let out a "wah wah wah wha" as an old sitcom laugh track plays in the background.

(Does anybody know the trumpet thing I am talking about? If you do, is there a name for that sound effect?)

Speaking of sitcoms and things that scare the hell out of me... Baio in Charge of NBC Sitcom

As if NBC had not already cemented the fact that they are not in first place anymore, they've decided to give Scott Baio, a man who most recently costarred in "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2," a starring role in a new sitcom.

I believe this is one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Finally, Liza Hospitalized for Head Banging

Yeah, Liza Minnelli is in a New York hospital after falling out of bed (while sleeping) and banging her head.

I felt the need to put the 'while sleeping' in the last paragraph to prevent you from picturing other ways Liza Minnelli may have banged her head in bed.

You are welcome.
