Damn it.I am pretty sure I have mononucleosis.
My doctor won't get the results of the blood test back until tomorrow, but I am pretty darn sure that's what I've got.
How can I be sure? Let's go over the list of symptoms:
- Fever Check
- Sore throat Check
- Headaches Check
- White patches on the back of your throat I have no clue, care to look for me?
- Swollen glands in your neck Check
- Feeling tired Check
- Not feeling hungry Check
And damn it, please don't make a 'swollen glands in your neck' joke in the comment section - it's says in my neck, not throat. Pervert.
The kicker? My 2 1/2 year old niece has mono, and her slobber is pretty much all over everything she owns - so I am sure I have come in contact with it over the last several weeks.
Since Wednesday evening of last week, pretty much all I've done is sleep. Makes for a pretty damn exciting Memorial Day weekend, doesn't it? Listen to these exciting stories:
I slept.
Woke up, watched a little TV.
I slept some more.
Woke up. Was pissed that I missed the end of whatever lame show I was watching.
Slept.
Woke up. Got annoyed because I'd been sleeping so much.
Before I got too frustrated at myself, I thought it would be a good idea to sleep on things - to see if I was still mad when I woke up.
I was.
To save up energy to beat myself up later, took a nap.
Repeat process several hundred times.
As you can see, it's been a pretty exciting four or five days here. Hopefully things will return to normal soon and I can get out and really start enjoying summer!
I hope your Memorial Day weekend was a good one.
